Letra Harvest Fest 2019

“LETRA Harvest Fest”, the craft beer party that Vila Verde hosted on the 13th, 14th and 15th of September”

O LETRA Harvest Fest decorreu no passado fim de semana com inúmeras atividades ligadas à cerveja artesanal, gastronomia e música. A organização esteve a cargo da Fermentum, detentora da marca Cerveja Letra, que apurou um impacto bastante considerável na economia local com cerca de 250 dormidas durante os 2 principais dias do evento e a passagem de mais de 4500 pessoas durante os 3 dias de festival. Em resumo, foram dias em ambiente festivo no recinto da Letraria – Brewpub Vila Verde, onde a marca Letra se fez acompanhar com mais 6 marcas de cerveja artesanal portuguesa e um cartaz repleto de animação com workshops, showcookings, harmonizações, concertos ao vivo e Dj’s.

Francisco Pereira, founding partner of Letra, states that «the festival model worked 100%, and the stipulated objectives were met: from the pedagogical part and promotion of hop cultivation to the part of the promotion of Portuguese craft beer as visitors were able to discover 6 brands of craft beer (besides Letra) from different parts of the country». Francisco adds that “another of the main objectives was to involve the local community with the event and the interconnection of different entities, whether public or private”. In this way, Francisco believes that Vila Verde now has an excellent opportunity to differentiate its range of annual events, helping to further promote this festival as a reason to attract people to the village”. Regarding the success arguments of this festival, Filipe Macieira, founding partner of Letra, points out «the team effort and the presentation of a 360º program involving several local entities in Harvest».

This was the first year that the organization carried out activities outside the area surrounding the beer factory, with the aim of showing other places in the beautiful municipality of Vila Verde. Filipe also mentions that, in the future, he foresees a growth throughout the country in the cultivation of hops and that in just over 5 years the Letra beers will be produced with hops from the Minho region. Both Filipe and Francisco say that this was the year of Harvest, promising more news and more, much more excitement next year!
